Make a Difference Support THON
Dear Friends and Alumni,
Each year, supporters like you stand behind the more than 16,500 Penn State student volunteers taking action in the fight against childhood cancer by participating in THON. As the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, THON continues to make life-changing impact through its support for critical pediatric cancer research and patient care.
In the last forty years, THON has contributed approximately $136 million to Four Diamonds of Penn State Children’s Hospital, helping Four Diamonds to provide exemplary care to children and families fighting cancer and funding critical cancer research for a cure on a national level. Thanks in part to the passion and dedication of THON’s supporters and volunteers, the number of childhood cancer survivors alive in the United States is expected to increase by 80,000 by the year 2020.
This year, you have the opportunity to take action in the fight against childhood cancer. You can help by donating, fundraising, and spreading awareness of THON’s mission. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to a cure.
Together, as one THON community, we will make a difference in the life of a child!
