1933-34 Pledges Numerous and Active
OMEGA started a very good year with the pledging of fifteen new men on September 30. Much praise is due John A. Fay and Samuel N. Baxter, Jr., of the rushing committee and Chapter President W. Randall Skillen, Jr., for the excellent rushing program and the satisfactory results. The chapter was fifth on the Penn State campus in the number of men secured. Two of these, James M. Calehuff, and Jack M. Pattterson, secured their numerals for their fine work on the freshman cross-country team which placed second in the ICAAAA meet held in New York November 20. Several other of these pledges were on freshmen squads. The pledge list of freshmen follows: Charles A. Cantley, Robert Cox, John H. Keely, and F. Fawkner Acker, Jr., Philadelphia; James M. Calehuff, Williamsport; Alvin E. Heutchy, New Kensington; Robert W. Hughes, Erie; Donald B. Livingston, Dillsburg; William W. Logan, York; Richard F. Maize, Uniontown; Jack M. Patterson, Pittsburgh; Alfred M. Tyson and Clyde M. Rinker, Weatherly; Raymond W. Rodgers, Lansdowne; Harry K. Tillman, Media.
