MIDDLETOWN — Rich Green is searching for a kidney donor.

Put bluntly and simply, his life depends on it.

Rich’s world was turned upside down exactly a year ago in April when he was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease.

Life was good for the father of three up until spring 2022.

Happily married to his wife, Jennifer, for 22 years, the longtime Middletown Township resident spent most of his free time enjoying his family.

Newly employed as assistant director of dining at Swarthmore College, he was busy at work, getting ready to open the college’s new dining hall, which was unveiled in October.

He was excited to begin his new position at Swarthmore, after having worked for 15 years for Aramark at Philadelphia’s stadiums. He was part of the culinary team that opened Citizens Bank Park in 2004.

Rich’s family has kept him stepping.

Isabella, 16, a student at Penncrest High School and sons Gabe, 14, and Lucas, 12, students at Springton Lake Middle School, are all into sports.

Rich and Jennifer not only chauffer their children to soccer, basketball and softball practices and games, but they are always on the sidelines cheering them on.
