Donald N. Kaelin, on Saturday, May 2, 2015, age 83, of Franklin Park. Beloved husband for 56 years of Ellen M. (Neely) Kaelin. Father and best buddy of Donald Curtis "Curt" (Jennifer) Kaelin; precious grandfather of Matthew & Abby Kaelin; brother of the late Elmer B. Kaelin, Jr. & Patricia Kaup. Family will receive friends on Monday from 3-8 p.m. at Schellhaas & Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1600 Stone Mansion Dr. Franklin Park/Sewickley, 15143. Additional visitation will be held in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2500 Brandt School Road, Wexford, PA 15090, on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m., where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Don was a graduate of Leetsdale High School and Penn State University, a member of North Hills Lodge no. 716, F.S.A.M., and a pilot in the Strategic Air Command where he flew a B47 Stratojet. John “Dutch” Lichliter passed away May 20, 2015, at his home in Santa Rosa, CA.

John “Dutch” Lichliter passed away May 20, 2015, at his home in Santa Rosa, CA.

A native of Pennsylvania, Dutch grew up in Salisbury and kept close ties to his hometown and childhood friends throughout his life. His parents were Reese and Margaret (Riley) Lichliter, and his siblings were Riley Lichliter and Elizabeth Lichliter Blocher.

Dutch graduated from Penn State University in 1956 and married Lois Lape of Somerset on Dec. 2 of the same year. Two weeks later, Dutch was inducted into the U.S. Army and was stationed in San Francisco.

It was there that he learned to fly airplanes and obtained his private pilot’s license, and he flew small planes as a hobby for most of his life. After leaving the Army, Dutch started his career as a civil engineer in Sacramento and in 1970 moved with Lois and his two children to Houston, where he spent the rest of his professional career.

He ultimately started his own engineering firm and was a recognized leader of the Houston business community for many years. After retirement, he and his wife lived for several years in Arizona and later settled in the Oakmont community in Sonoma County, CA. Dutch was an avid videographer and became well-known for his volunteer efforts to bring technology and Internet communication to Oakmont residents.

He is survived by his wife Lois of 57 years, his son Steve and daughter-in-law Deborah, daughter Sheri and son-in-law Rick Pepper, and grandchildren Shelby and Danielle Lichliter and Miles and Gabriel Pepper.

William Frank Staley, Sr., "Bill", age 89, a 32 year resident of Hudson, Ohio, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Margaret "Peg" (nee Irwin), loving father of William Frank Staley Jr. (wife, Nellie Milton Staley), Eve Staley Newton (husband, Tom) and Missy Staley Reiner (husband, Dan), dear grandfather of William Clayton Staley (wife Hayley) , Nellie Hestin (Husband Chris), Ted Newton, Emma Newton, Georgia Reiner and Libby Reiner, dear brother of Clayton Staley Jr. (deceased).  

Bill served his country in the V-5 Program of the US Navy. Then he attended The Pennsylvania State University earning a degree in civil engineering. Bill worked for PPG industries for 35 years assuming sales and sales management positions for both Houston Chemicals and PPG Industrial Chemicals in New York, Cleveland, San Francisco and Houston. After retirement, Bill enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing golf, watching football, traveling and spending time with friends and family. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am Friday March 20, 2015 at Christ Church Episcopal, 21 Aurora St., Hudson, OH 44236. Wilbur Van Lenten, 93, a 50 year Ocean Twp. resident, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 23, 2015. Wilbur was born in Clifton to Henry and Gertrude (De Koyer) Van Lenten. He was a graduate of Penn State University, where he excelled on the varsity football team. Wilbur volunteered to serve our country in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1963, retiring as Major from the Atlantic Highlands Nike missile base. His combat action in northern France and Germany during World War II was recognized with the Meritorious Service Medal, Bronze Star and the Purple Heart for injuries receive under fire. He then led an occupation unit in Japan after the cessation of hostilities and began the reconstruction of that country. He also served at Ft. Monmouth, NJ, in Puerto Rico and at Scandia Labs nuclear facility in New Mexico. His leadership skills were effectively applied in a second career as the manager of YMCA Camp Arrowwood in Marlboro. He retired from that position after 20 years and focused on his wood shop and making furniture.

Wilbur was predeceased by his parents, by his brother, Henry and in 2004 by his beloved wife of 62 years, Jayne Lynch Van Lenten. He is survived by his nephew, Kenneth W. Smith of Sebring, FL; niece, Jacqueline McQueen of Westminister, SC; five great-nieces and nephews and his dear friends, Michele Lipari, Judy Spina and Mary Githire.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 6 at the Braun Funeral Home, 106 Broad St., Eatontown, with a service immediately following at 3 p.m. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made in Wilbur's name to Fisher House Foundation, Inc., 111 Rockville Pike, Suite 420, Rockville, MD 20850, an organization dedicated to helping US Military families. Duncan Friend Woodward, 92, passed away suddenly Tuesday (March 31, 2015).
Calling hours will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday (April 4) at the Clyde United Methodist Church with a memorial service immediately following. Memorial donations may be made to Honor Flight Rochester, Inc., PO BOX 23581, Rochester N.Y. 14692.

He served in the Army during WW II, graduated from UNH and Penn State, Poultry Science, worked for Agway, Gromark Poultry Farm, Wayne CAP and the Post Office. He was known for his community service and was active in Rotary, American Legion, Red Cross, Chamber of Commerce, and the Clyde UMC.

Duncan was a devoted husband to Diane for 55 years. He is survived by his children, Pat (Ralph) Jocke, Sue (Allen) Russell, Roger (Connie) Woodward, Sandi (Dan) Bastedo, Wendy (Jack) Ellis, and 11 grandchildren.
