Three Omega brothers were announced as captains for the 2014 THON. Congratulations to Zach, Nick and John!

Zachary Meharey - I am a Communications Captain this year for THON. Specifically I am the Greek Organization Liaison. I am the main contact for the Greek Organizations. My job is also to assist these fraternities and sororities in meeting their goals for THON 2014 as well as answer any questions that they might have.

Nicholas J. Lello, Jr. - My position is as a Media Relations Captain on the Public Relations Captain Committee for THON. There are six Media Relations Captains. We, along with our Director, work all year long writing press releases and pitching story concepts covering all THON events to media outlets at local, state, and national levels. Notably, in each of the past two years Media

Relations has been welcomed on Good Morning America.

We also are the ones who conduct interviews with press outlets; we are personally interviewed often but also facilitate interviews with THON's directors, captains, and families, depending on the story. My local contact is Onward State, so I will be working closely with them all year with the intention of having THON covered often, and hopefully in a very positive light! In addition, we are constantly working to find new media contacts for THON to reach out to in order to spread THON's word.

During THON weekend, my task is to escort press on the event level and concourse, as well as facilitate interviews, ensuring that the families' and kids' rights and privacy are respected throughout the event. If you have any questions, let me know!

John Boston - I am a Sales Management captain for the 2014 THON Merchandise committee. I work with the logistics of THON campus and event sales. The official description reads: "These captains must be very attentive to detail and will be concerned with the logistics of the THON Store sales and the THON weekend stores. They will coordinate all HUB Sales and THON weekend plans including set up/tear down, work schedules, store layout, payment options, and product availability. Additionally, they will work closely with the Inventory captains and execute the preparations for each sale and event."
