Whitewater Rafting Trip for Alumni & Undergrads - May 22nd in Pittsburgh
Brothers,
We are looking at a new event for this spring to provide an opportunity for undergraduate brothers and alumni to interact outside of State College. With that in mind, we are pleased to announce that a brotherhood Whitewater Rafting Trip is being planned for the weekend of May 22nd, 2010 in Ohio Pyle State Park outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The main event would take place from 10AM Saturday, May 22nd and last through the early evening. The cost is projected to be about $65 per person for the guided rafting trip in which lunch is included. Family and friends are welcome to participate as well, though it should be noted that Ohio Pyle is primarily a Class 3 paddle, with some class 4 rapids in certain areas. Optionally, a group of brothers will be camping out the night before in Ohio Pyle State Park, Friday May 21st, and socializing around a campfire. It costs an additional $11 per night to camp and you must provide your own equipment, but the food, drink, and fun should be enough to compensate.
etails of the trip are still being worked out, but we are interested in the initial response of brothers to this idea. Additional details to be posted as the date gets closer. If you are interested, want to let us know you are coming, or are excited about the idea of events happening in your area, please email me.
Again, we are pleased to offer this opportunity and look forward to a great turnout and a great weekend.
