Omega Receives Alcohol Waiver from National

The International Chapter informed Omega chapter that the Alcohol-free Housing (AFH) Waiver Committee reviewed the chapter's application for an alcohol waiver. Based on the protocols established by the Grand Chapter and the information provided by the chapter, it was determined that Omega Chapter will be granted an alcohol-free housing waiver for July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010.

The waiver comes with the following condition:

By May 1, 2009, the chapter must have a Regional Counselor or Greek Advisor conduct a program for the chapter that reviews how to host a BYOB function at the chapter house. At least 80% of the chapter members must attend. Proof of this program must be submitted to the International Headquarters no later than May 15, 2009.

The alcohol waiver may be rescinded if Omega chapter fails to fulfill the requirements set forth in the waiver program. The chapter must re-apply for the wavier each year.
