THON 2009 - Dream Forward

My dear alumni and fellow brothers,

Today, we, as members of the Penn State family, have a chance to once again make history. Last year, The Penn State Dance Marathon raised over $6.6 million dollars for the fight against pediatric cancer. This number far superseded the total raised in 2007 ($5.2 million) and 2006 ($4.2 million).

Last year, Theta Chi raised $7,400 for the kids, and this year, we are looking to add on to that total in a big way. Our goal for THON 2009 is $15,000. We're stepping up our canning efforts, sending letters to family and friends, going door-to-door looking for pledges and searching for corporate sponsors. We are also looking to our alumni to help us fight the battle against pediatric cancer.

All proceeds from THON go to the Four Diamonds Fund, whose mission is to conquer childhood cancer. The Fund helps children treated at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital and their families through superior care, comprehensive support and innovative research.
