David S. Perkins '85
March 1, 1963 - July 3, 2007 David S. Perkins, 44, of State College, died Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born March 1, 1963, in Bryn Mawr, he was a son of Jean Matzke Perkins of State College and the late George A. Perkins. He was a graduate of Penn State and earned an M.B.A. from the University of Rochester's Simon School of Business. Until recently, he was a mortgage underwriter for Wells Fargo in Ames, Iowa. David was a gymnast, hiker and bicyclist. He was also a horticultural enthusiast. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters; Katherine P. Collins of Anchorage, Alaska, and Julia H. Braca of State College, and two brothers, George G. A. Perkins and his wife, Shirley, of Morris Plains, N.J., and John R. Perkins and his wife, Hope, of Brooklyn, N.Y. Services are private, at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Graysville Cemetery. Arrangements are by Koch Funeral Home, State College.
