Harold J. Wolf, 89, of East 21st St. Northampton, died Friday evening in Lehigh Valley Hospice Allentown. He was the husband to Mrs. Beatrice M. (Herter) Wolf, together they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in July. Born in Northampton, he was a son to the late Alfred U. and Helen (LeVan) Wolf. Harold worked as a salesman for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, Bethlehem for 35 years, before retiring in 1980. He was a life long member of St. Pauls United Church of Christ, Northampton, where he served on church consistory and as an elder. Harold was a 1940 graduate of Penn State University receiving a B.S. degree in business. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving in Italy, France, and Germany as an officer and forward observer for the 45th Division. Harold was a 60 year member of Chapman Lodge 637 F.&A.M., Northampton, and a 32nd degree member of Lodge Council Chapter Consistory, Valley of Allentown. He was a longtime member of the former Northampton Rotary Club and member of the Northampton Historical Society.
Survivors: Wife; son Kenneth H. of Willow Grove; daughter, Mary Ellen wife of David Keys of West Bloomfield, Mich., three grandchildren Jennifer Keys of San Francisco, Calif., J. Charles Keys of Orchard Lake, Mich., Jacob D. Wolf of Philadelphia, and a niece.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 29 at the Schisler Funeral Home. 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton. Calling hours will be 7-8:30 p.m. Monday November 19, at the funeral home with Masonic Services at 8 p.m. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Contributions: May be made to St. Pauls U.C.C. Church Memorial Fund of Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown, both c/o the funeral home.
