Anthony Nero - 1996
Big Brother: Robert 'Mau Mau' Mehalko
Theta Chi: Why did you join Theta Chi?
Anthony Nero: Brotherhood, camaraderie, social life, etc..
OX: Tell us your favorite OX story?
AN: Keeping my Pledge Marshall (Rafael Baez) up all night with the sound of female voices. ;)
OX: What Influences did OX have on you?
AN: Many. Be upstanding and a good friend. Loyalty.
OX: What was your nickname? Story behind it?
AN: None that I can remember, although I think the 'Old Man' might have had something to do with that. LOL. Sometimes I was referred to as 'Tony'.
OX: Who were your roommates?
AN: Fred Kauffman and Michael "Doc" Daugherty. Doc hated me smoking cigarettes or "dirties" as he called them in the room. Fred used to bring his girlfriend's friends over and we would have LOTS of fun. "Derf" as Fred was known..(Fred spelled backwards) was hysterical, especially when he was Social Chairman.
OX: Any Pledge trip stories?
AN: We bolted to Randolph Macon and stole Jeffrey 'Jazzy' Gray. (Damn it's been so long I'm having a hard time remembering names.)
OX: With whom do you stay in contact?
AN: Thomas Lennon, John Schanne, Sean "Moishe" Wedemeyer, Michael Daugherty, Fred Kauffman....although I wish I stayed in closer touch with them. We all need to go back and party like we used to...just one more time. ;)
OX: Any brother you are looking to contact?
AN: Anyone from the years 1993-1996.
OX: What other activities or organizations were you involved with during your college days?
AN: No. Looking back, I wish I did more.
OX: Tell us about your family. Have you married? Do you have children?
AN: I am married with a daughter and live in Worcester (near Norristown) Pennsylvania.
OX: What do you do for a living?
AN: I teach Computer Science at Ambler Day School in Ambler, PA.
OX: What do you do with your free time?
AN: Play on the computer. Build them, do video editing, write music using software and electronic keyboards (synthesizers). (When I have free time LOL).
OX: What are your goals for the next few years?
AN: To get my Masters in Ed and teach in a public school.
OX: Involved with any organizations now?:
AN: I participate in an American Revolution Living History Cavalry organization.
