CDT Story - Letter - Thanks for Aid to Auxiliary
The recent benefit antiques show and sale sponsored by the College Area Auxiliary to the Centre Community Hospital has been the most successful one to date, netting around $9,000. This amount will provide the major funding for the Auxiliary's purchase of the Collin's modular lung analyzer for which these funds have been designated. We wish to thank The Centre Daily Times for its excellent coverage of this event .
On behalf of the Auxiliary, we also wish to thank the many people who have contributed to the success of this project. Many worked diligently during the advance planning stages while many more worked during the show, baked some of those delicious pies and cakes, contributed to Auxiliary antiques, or helped in numerous other ways.
The Westerly Parkway Junior High School administration and staff have again been extremely cooperative in providing such a perfect location. Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Acacia, Alpha Zeta, Theta Chi, and Sigma Chi fraternities provided cheerful and willing crews to assist with setting up and taking down the show— a great community service on the part of these fine young men.
We are also grateful to business leaders in the community for underwriting advertising, the loan of equipment, and much other backing. Last. but most certainly not least, our deep appreciation to each of you who supported us with your attendance.
It is not possible to recognize all those who have helped but it is gratifying to see a project of this scope worked on so enthusiastically and supported so generously. We thank you all!
