Emanuel (Giffy) Gifford
Emanuel T. Gifford, 119 N. Barnard St., State College. died at his home today at 7:15 a.m.
Born in New Orleans. La., he was the son of Harry and Rose Haywood Gifford. He was married to the former Agnes Brady, who survives with his parents and one sister, Miss Bessie Gifford of State College.
Mr. Gifford, a cook at Theta Chi fraternity for 31 years, was a member of the State College Presbyterian Church, the Amen Ra Shrine 158 of Altoona, F. and A.M. 96 of Clearfield of which he was past master, and the Mountain Consistory 55 of Altoona.
Funeral services will he held at the Koch Funeral Home, State College, Saturday at 2 ,p.m. with Rev. William F. McClain officiating. Interment wail be in Centre County Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
